What the system does
Shift custody
Which member of staff took a device is recorded, and anything not returned is listed at shift end.
Charging dock tracking
Devices that did not return to a dock are identified, so the next shift does not start on empty batteries.
Fault and service history
Faults are logged per device, which makes a consistently failing model visible.
Inventory accuracy
The device count in the field is verified physically, so purchasing decisions rest on real numbers.
