Smart medical cabinet
A cabinet that counts its own contents, records who took what, and reports when stock runs low.
In clinical areas a supply cabinet usually empties without anyone knowing who took what, and a critical item is found to be missing at the moment it is needed.
A reader inside the cabinet counts the contents every time the door closes, and because staff open it with a card, the withdrawal is tied to a person.
What the system does
Automatic content count
Closing the door triggers a read of everything inside. No manual counting.
Per-user records
The staff card identifies who opened the cabinet and what left with them.
Low stock alerts
When an item drops below its threshold, a notification goes to the responsible team.
Expiry control
Items approaching expiry are reported and flagged to be used before newer stock.
