Barrier access automated with a windscreen UHF tag.
Challenge
Having to stop and present a card at the barrier created a morning queue, and telling visitors apart from permit holders was a manual job.
Approach
Permit vehicles carry a windscreen tag and the barrier got a long-range UHF reader and antenna. Permit holders drive through without stopping and the visitor lane runs separately.
