Not every application needs a chip. Visitor badges, loyalty cards and gift cards usually run on a barcode or a magnetic stripe, and paying for silicon adds nothing.
Printing, lamination and die-cutting run in-house, so a hundred cards and a million cards come off the same line. Holograms, signature panels and embossing are added per order.
