LF is old technology and still everywhere. A large share of factory turnstiles and door readers work on this band, so the demand for replacement cards has not gone away.
EM4100 and EM4200 are read-only. EM4305 is writable, and T5577 can be programmed to match the card scheme you already run. Which chip fits is decided by what the installed readers expect.
