Corporate ID, hotel doors, transit and payment mostly sit on 13.56 MHz. What separates this band is that the card can hold data, and that data can be encrypted.
Chips such as DESFire EV2 and EV3 bring authentication and encryption. The NTAG range reads from a phone, which is why it shows up in loyalty and information applications. Chip encoding can be done during production.
